Perhaps the best burgers on the planet. I don't mean to sound cheap but the extra quarter is a little bit BS. Drop it and you've got your fifth star.

The burger meat was poor quality, salad was cheap lettuce with gross mayonnaise ranch, BUT the croutons were good. The omelet was hearty with perfect hash browns! Teriyaki sauce tasted like cleaning supplies- it was awful! I never waste food when I eat out but I threw away half my burger :( the server was so incredibly nice that I didn't want to complain so I didn't. The food was overpriced for the quality of the ingredients used. I will not be back. I should have eaten something else but the coupons entice me to choose somewhere I've never been...

They have a really good breakfast here. The hash browns and country potatoes can sometimes be on the raw side. Since the breakfast is awesome, I would expect that the lunch and dinner would be, too. However, the lunch and dinner is not very good. I have tried various lunch and dinner items, but they do not compare to the breakfast.

Nice quiet cafe, with a stream of regulars, I'm talking "Cheers, Norm and Cliffy" kinda joint. I have been frequenting this place off and on for the past 5 years for lunch only. I have come to the conclusion that I won't order anything that has been fried or grilled here. But they do a great job with the soups and sandwiches. The staff is always friendly and it is kinda cool to see all the regulars that I see almost every time i'm there. It's a greasy spoon with a bar attached what else do you expect.

Let me tell ya folks this is the best BBQ joint in town. I am serious here. I work in Perl and and frequent in Podhna's and Russel St.'s. But come Thursday, and I am @ the Redland Bar and Lounge. They do BBQ every Thursday (not every day, no), and the parking lot is always full on Thursdays. Also, their signature hamburger is pretty darn good. Bacon, egg, cheese, lettuce and tomato - you got it all. If not BBQ, the sandwich is worth a trip. I only wish they remodeled a bit... One start off them...

the use good bacon and they cook it well. the corned beef hash comes all smothered in a delicious sour cream sauce. burgers are really yummy. the service is good. usually the same friendly waitress who's quick and efficient. Excellent people watching.... BUT...coffee is meh. and horrible pop-country top 40 music plays pretty loudly.... and this, recently i saw the chef ( thru the window from the cafe) have raw hamburger and fresh strawberries( in those green plastic net-like )cartons on the same work surface...( NOT TOUCHING and not even really very close... but still....).. .and that freaked me out a bit. THAT SAID, i have never gotten sick from eating there at all or anything... i just SAW that happening and cant get it out of my mind. I do, however, still eat there... whoo boy.

Great hamburgers and their hashbrowns are outstanding. Few make them fresh anymore. Love the garden omelet. I wish they didn't use bagged lettuce for salads though....

Due to the fact that we had a great experience on our first visit, we decided to come back, and continue to explore the menu. The service was amazingly friendly. Our last trip we had a great burger. It was nice and meaty, not greasy at all. The Country Fried Steak was tender. The French Dip was amazing, with homemade au jus from their Prime Rib drippings. The French toast was made with real French bread. I have nothing bad to say at this point. This trip we ordered the Cajun Popcorn Shrimp, Biscuits and Gravy, the Pancakes, and the Veggie Pizza. The biscuits here are wonderful, and the cream gravy is very traditional. The veggie pizza was good, the best part being the crispy cornmeal crust. I find that usually diners that have a large menu AND try to serve pizza lack in the pizza department. Not so here. The pancakes were the best. They were cake-like, and slightly sweetened with vanilla. I will have a hard time not always ordering them in the future. I highly recommend them for the pancake lover. My uncle loved the coffee. This being our second great experience here, I have updated my stars to five. The service was twice friendly, the food was just as good. We have decided to permanently put The Redland Cafe in our rotation. One hundred percent no regrets!

I had high hopes for this place since the reviews were pretty good so we tried it out. Came in on a saturday morning for breakfast with kids - we sat at a booth that was dirty since we needed the room and it was the only one open. It took a good 10 minutes for anyone to come over. They seemed somewhat busy but not overly so. Then it took another 10 to get an order in and with kids that's too long. The food came out and the corn beef hash was really disappointing - it tasted like they took deli corned beef slices and cut them up and threw them in with some potatoes. Too bad. We'll go back to Kissin Kates instead.

We dine here all the time. The staff is friendly, the food is good and quick, they are reasonably priced, and we make the drive. Never disappointed.

Got the Babe's Burger. It was a large 2/3lbs hamburger (2 1/3lb patties) with lettuce, pickles, onions, special sauce (thousand island), bacon, eggs and ham. A pretty good burger overall. Can't complain about anything really. The waitress was a bit slow but she had been working over 12 hours at the time so I gave her the benefit of the doubt.

This place is a great little find clear out in the country! Years ago, we used to own this place and have not eaten there for years...They have a great little bar and is super family friendly...Huge menu, large portions, and the food tastes great! The "Babe" burger is gigantic!

I have eaten here several times since I moved to the area. The food is pretty good - especially breakfast. The cleanliness of the place is questionable, but the staff is always so friendly. The last time we went, we ate breakfast in the bar, so we could catch the Seahawks game. The cleanliness (or lack there of) in the bar was blatantly clear. The counter was gross, the bartender used a nasty rag to give the counter a quick wipe down while we sat there. As we waited for our food, she ate a variety of snacks from under the counter, including cupcakes, getting frosting all over her face and fingers. She licked each of her fingers clean before grabbing our plates and handing them to us. I was so gagged out. I love homey, local joints, but top notch hygiene is a must! 4 stars for service, 4 for the food, but their staff have got to some training in proper hygiene at a food establishment (1 star for not keeping it clean!) I haven't been able to stomach a return trip yet, but I probably will at some point.

Would have been 5 stars if the young blond server didn't pass us up for the young boys who came in 15 min after us

Decent bar food. Cheap. If you live out towards Redland there's really no where else, but this place isn't half bad.

The prime rib was cooked perfectly, and the blackberry pie was amazing. The service was impeccable & attentive. The atmosphere was homey. Would go there again.

Worst service and cleanliness I have had in a restaurant in at least 10 years. I like to support local businesses, in fact I will go out of my way to do it, but after the last trip there I will not be going back. My family decides to go to the Redland Café and get lunch. We arrive around 1pm on a Saturday, after the lunch rush. It is mostly empty. A worker tells us to sit anywhere. We pick a booth near the door and sit down only to find food bits and liquid on the table. No big deal, I grab a paper towel and clean it off myself. Our waitress comes by and literally throws three menus on the table. No words. No handing each one out. Just throws them in a pile in the middle of the table. Okay. So we have the menus in hand for about one minute and she comes back and in the most sour tone of voice says "What do you want?" No greeting. Nothing pleasant. So I tell her I think we need another minute to decide and I get a nasty look and a sarcastic one word reply "Drinks". Okay so we order drinks. It turned out that would be the only words she would say to us for the next hour and a half. She returns ten minutes later and stands at the head of our table. Irritated look on her face. She says nothing. I look at her. She looks at me. Then she sighs and holds up her order pad and pen. Still no words. I guess it is time to order! So we give her our order and she silently turns and leaves. My wife and I are laughing quietly about how ridiculous her behavior was. So while we are waiting for food I watch her chit chat with another waitress. Then she handles money from a customer who is leaving. Then she walks over to make a salad for a customer and I see she just grabbed salad out of the salad trough with her bare hand. No tongs. Same hand that I assume was grabbing dirty plates earlier. Same hand that I just watched put money in the till. Kind of gross. I was glad I didn't order the salad. After a while my wife comments that she is super hungry. We had been occupying ourselves by counting the flies on our window. It started at one but grew to four and at that point would fluctuate between three and four. I look towards the kitchen and I see that our food is sitting up there ready to go out. I wonder how long it has been sitting there. I look for our waitress. She is back to chatting with the other waitress. Then she walks towards our food. Yes! Then she walks right by it and starts messing with receipts. No! Minutes later she walks back to the food. Yes! She is looking at our food. Yes! Then she walks back by the salad area and starts talking again. At this point it has been over 5 minutes since I noticed our food was up, who knows how long it had been up there. I am giving my wife play by play and my wife says she is so hungry she is ready to go get it herself. A family behind us was so tired of waiting for a refill on their drink they sent their little daughter up to the counter with their cup to ask for a refill. This seems to remind our waitress that she is in fact supposed to be serving people. She grabs our food and brings it to us and just plops the plates on the table without a word. My wife was going to ask for BBQ sauce for her tots but the waitress turns and leaves while we were still giving the plates to the appropriate person. No worries, we can ask for some when she comes back to ask us how everything is. That never happened. Not a surprise at this point. At least no one needed to worry about burning their mouths on hot tots and fries. Since we had sat so long we had gone through our drinks. We placed the empty cups clearly out by the edge of the table. We eat. We wait. Nothing. I grab my cup and start making really loud slurping noises much to my sons amusement. Nothing. Not a glance. After a solid 15 minutes of waiting for a refill my wife grabs our glasses and she heads to the counter, much like the little girl and asks for refills. The other waitress in the place, who was chatting with our waitress actually does apologize for that, even though she wasn't our waitress and my wife comes back with drinks in hand. We finish up and we sit. I saw that they deliver tickets to tables so we wait. And wait. And wait. My son gets bored and wants to look out the window. He puts his hand on the windowsill to pull himself up and his hand comes up just covered in filth. We look in horror at the clean little streaks drawn in what had to be months of dust buildup. Next time you are in there look for them. I am positive they will still be there. After waiting for well over 20 minutes for our ticket I go up to the cash register. Our waitress was up there fiddling with receipts again and ignores me. Another lady came over and she puts her hand out for my receipt and I say we didn't get one. Our waitress says a number to her and we pay and leave. We won't be back.
